STRATEGIC SOVEREIGNTY OF THE EUROPEAN UNION
BETWEEN COGNITIVE DEPENDENCE AND CIVILIZATIONAL AUTONOMY

In my presentation at the International Scientific Conference “Philosophy of the Future: Ideas
and Meanings” at Lomonosov Moscow State University, I put forward a thesis that may be
uncomfortable, yet one that is – I believe – necessary for reflecting on the future of Europe and
the broader civilizational space. Sovereignty is no longer defined solely by the capacity to act,
but increasingly by the capacity to shape reality – perceptions, interpretations, and the strategic
frameworks within which decisions are made
