Libertas Europa is an independent civic platform that gives citizens a real voice in shaping national and European policies. We strengthen democratic participation and build a more confident, sovereign, and resilient Europe.

We are politically neutral, non-profit, and free from influence by governments, parties, foreign interests, or lobbying groups. Our work is supported solely by voluntary contributors.

We focus on the strategic issues that define Europe’s future: security, competitiveness, media credibility, democratic access, population renewal, healthcare, the environment, and European identity

For Supporters:

For Contributors:
In addition, they have the ability to post contributions, participate in forums and workshops, and submit topic proposals (all subject to editorial approval). They can vote anonymously, connect institutions and partners with the portal, and participate in fact-checking and public comments.
For Contributors:
They must adhere to editorial policy.
They receive feedback from the editorial team and readers.

Libertas Europa processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its Privacy Policy, solely for civic participation and public-interest activities. Data we process Visitors: email address and demographic data Supporters: name, email address, and demographic data Contributors and petition signatories: name, email address, field of interest, and demographic data Demographic data may include age, gender, education, social status, and citizenship.   • Each user has one vote per poll. The last voting count.
  • Results remain anonymous.
  • Polls have a defined duration (e.g., 30 days).
  • Results are publicly available.

Balance: Does the article present multiple perspectives?
Clarity: Is the content written in an accessible manner?
Relevance: Does the article contribute to understanding the topic?
Reader Ratings:
Users can rate articles (e.g., 1–5 stars).
Editorial Assessment:
Editors can label articles as "Verified" or "Recommended."

Respect:
Personal attacks, hate speech, and discrimination are prohibited.
Transparency:
All authors must disclose potential conflicts of interest.
Quality:
Contributions must be evidence-based and verified.
Impartiality:
Contributions must present multiple perspectives where relevant.
Sanctions:
Violators may receive a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent ban.

Objective:
Ensuring high-quality, balanced, and verifiable information.
Principles:
Impartiality, transparency, quality, and respect.
Publication Process:
Only articles from registered authors will be published.
All submissions must go through an editorial review.
Author Rights:
Authors retain copyright but grant permission for publication and sharing.
Comment Publication:
The publication of comments is at the editor’s discretion.
Commenters must be registered on the portal.
Generally, only one response is allowed.

Rules on Donations

1. Purpose of Donations

Donations support the non-profit activities of Libertas Europa, including:

  • development of digital tools for direct democracy,

  • independent research and monitoring,

  • public-interest education and communication,

  • organisation of debates and civic initiatives,

  • operational costs necessary to maintain the platform.

Donations do not influence political positions, strategic decisions, or priorities of the platform.

2. Independence and Integrity

To safeguard neutrality and prevent manipulation:

  • Libertas Europa does not accept donations from political parties, governments, lobbying organisations, or entities with non-European strategic interests.

  • Donors cannot demand preferential treatment, political influence, or editorial control.

  • All donations must be unconditional.

3. Eligible Donors

Donations may be accepted from:

  • private individuals who are EU citizens or residents,

  • independent European organisations, associations, foundations, and businesses that do not engage in political manipulation or foreign-influence operations.

  • Donations from outside Europe are accepted only if they meet strict independence and transparency criteria and do not conflict with our mission of European autonomy.

4. Transparency

Libertas Europa commits to full transparency by:

  • maintaining an internal registry of donations,

  • publishing aggregated annual reports on received donations and their use,

  • ensuring that individual donors are listed only with their explicit consent (GDPR-compliant).

  • Significant donations above a defined threshold (e.g. 2.000 EUR) will be specifically reviewed for compliance with independence criteria.

5. Use of Funds

  • Donated funds may be used exclusively for:

  • development and maintenance of the digital platform,

  • communication, events, and civic participation activities,

  • research, analysis, and public reporting,

  • administrative and operational support.

Funds may not be used for personal benefit, political campaigning for specific parties or candidates, or activities that contradict the platform’s principles.

6. Prohibited Donations

Libertas Europa will not accept donations from:

  • foreign governments or entities controlled by them,

  • lobbying groups or organisations with hidden ownership,

  • companies or individuals with a history of corruption or political manipulation,

  • donors attempting to influence the mission, governance, or activities of the platform.

If a donation is later found to violate these rules, it will be returned or redirected according to legal requirements.

7. Voluntary Nature

All donations are voluntary and non-refundable, unless a clear administrative error or violation of these rules is identified.

8. Governance and Oversight

A designated oversight committee or board representative will be organized to:

  • reviews compliance with donation rules,

  • evaluates potential risks,

  • ensures alignment with the mission of Libertas Europa,

  • reports findings annually to members.

9. Amendments

These rules may be updated by Libertas Europa to reflect new legal requirements, operational needs, and the evolving mission of the platform.
